  • What a Great Short Story!

This was great, especially considering that it is a short story. I have read the all of the Mercy Thompson books, so know a bit about Charles and Anna, but I am just starting their series. It was great to learn how they met and to get much better acquainted with them. I thought they were both wonderful characters, and I enjoyed the storyline. I'm looking forward to seeing where the next books take them. Anna Latham was turned into a Werewolf against her will. She has been treated very poorly by her pack, and she is made to feel like a submissive and worthless wolf. When she reads an alarming news article that she knows connects to her pack, she contacts Bran "The Marrok" Cornick, the leader of the North American werewolves. Bran sends his son, Charles, to investigate the goings on in Anna's Chicago pack. When Charles meets Anna, he is immediately drawn to her, and knows his wolf has selected her as his mate. Charles recognizes Anna as a rare Omega wolf, not a submissive. He is appalled and angered at how she has been treated by her pack, and they begin to get to know and care for one another as they try to unravel the secrets and misdeeds of the pack. I loved this one! Charles and Anna are both great, and I really enjoyed the way this story picked up right as Moon Called ended. I loved the interaction between Charles and Anna, and I appreciated the way that Bran was so accepting of Charles' quick attachment to her. As a fan of the Mercy Thompson Series, I have been looking forward to reading the Alpha & Omega books, and after this short story, I am even more thrilled to read them.

It was perfect not too much nonsense and not too little. I love this series! If your looking for pure romance it's not here but if your looking for sweet romantic protectiveness. This is love at 1st sight but in a cute way.

I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this book & Patricia Briggs. I have shared her wonderful books with my friends and family creating more Charles & Anna; and Mercy & Adam story lovers. I reread these books constantly privately wishing I could live in their world. I am currently reading Dragon Bones & loving this mini series as well.

I first read this forever ago as a paperback library book. I was never really able to find it priced reasonable to buy later. I was thrilled to find it again & loved it as much this time as before. Thanks

I love this series and can't wait for the next books. I do find it odd tho that I can get the novelette and the second book in the series on iBooks but not the first book Cry Wolf. Hopefully they'll add it soon so I can get them all on my iPad
