New York Times bestselling author Penelope Sky pens another dark and suspenseful masterpiece.

I see his wicked smile in the theatre. I see it in the apartment across from mine.

I see it everywhere.

Before I can run, I'm taken.

And when I wake up...I'm in the middle of nowhere.

The man who's taken me claims to be a demon.

And claims I'm his angel.

What happens when he finds out I don't have wings?

I'm not the only prisoner in this forest. There's a little girl too. Her name is Claire. She's beautiful, happy, wonderful. It's my responsibility to protect her--and I will give my life to accomplish that.

She says her father will save us both.

She says he's powerful, formidable, that he'll burn this entire forest to get to her.

I hope she's right.

*** Claire is unharmed throughout this story. There is no violence against children of any kind. ***

  • Delightful as always

Even though the book is a little bit different from the other dark novels,I enjoyed very much. However I was expecting Constance and Forneous felt in love each other and finally she can save him from the conjure or whatever mystic world that he was involved, that’s pretty much the reason I didn’t give 5 starts to the book.I’m looking foward to read The Catacombs, though, and see the end of this story.I suggest if anyone reads this review and yet have’t read the series from Lingerie go ahead and enjoy all the books in there, especially the story about Griffin( Bones) and Vanessa.Their story is about three books but as much as you read you will find yourself consumes in the reading,My fav of all the rest of collection.

This book is so good! I didn’t want to put it down. It’s unlike any other book I have read as far as the cult aspect. I can’t wait for more! I need to know what happens with Benton and Constance. I love that Constance and Claire are so close. I need to read more!

This is absolutely phenomenal and the plot, imagination and the creativity blew me away. There were many harrowing and brutally graphic moments that made you physically react yet it was well worth the read!!!

Has a good story line but is quite predictable. Also, the ending leaves you with a lot of questions and the relationship between Constance and Benton always left me feeling that something was missing connection wise.

Loved reading the engaging, exciting, captivating, and amazing story. When Constance is kidnapped, she can't believe the bizarre cult she finds herself in. A mother, Beatrice, and her daughter, Claire, are also both trapped and Constance discovers a protectiveness toward the young girl, Claire. The women captured are thought to be angels and each angel has her own evil demon man. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written, full of suspense and mystery, and riveting story engaging the reader from the first page of the story until the last page of the story full of anticipation for the next story in the series. Can't wait to read the next story in the Cult series by the incredibly phenomenal author, Penelope Sky!

Penelope Sky has never failed to amaze me. To start off, if you haven’t read her other books, you’re missing you. This book carry overs the underground crime world, we all like to blissfully ignore. I didn’t think I could fall anymore in love with Penelope’s writing, but she simple blows me away every time. Read this book if you want an adventure of a lifetime.
