Summary

In this sexy, heartfelt classic from New York Times bestselling romance legend Brenda Jackson, one woman’s run of bad luck may end in the sweetest kind of windfall . . .

Sage Dunbar is dealt a shattering double blow when she discovers that her fiancé has depleted her bank accounts and her father has been having an affair. Reeling with shock, she accepts a job promotion that involves relocating to Anchorage, Alaska. She never expects to cross paths with a man who will challenge everything she thought she knew about love.

Gabe’s “sex-only” relationship policy has been working just fine, keeping him free of messy entanglements and emotional baggage. Then he meets Sage, and his no-commitment ways start to lose their appeal. But Sage isn’t ready to give her heart and trust to another man any time soon. With a single-minded determination that surprises even him, Gabe resolves to convince her that true love can erase every obstacle—real or imagined—in its path . . .

“Jackson delivers a sizzling romance . . . and knows how to write crackling love scenes and those burst off the page.”
Entertainment Weekly on Best Laid Plans

“Brenda Jackson is the queen of newly discovered love. . . . If there’s one thing Jackson knows how to do, it's how to pluck those heartstrings and stir up some seriously saucy drama.”

  • Unbelievable. What century is this?

This was good except for the dumb mess her parents kept spouting. Like this is craziness. What century it this? Ugh. Look when you lose respect for someone, that’s it. Her daddy was wrong and her momma delusional for blaming herself for his foolishness. I am in utter disbelief at the words I read.

This book was deep. Tells the story of how love is not enough to save a relationship (for some) but the work it takes to make a relationship work from the ground up. Great story that touches on love and faith and the ability to bring you tears. This is one of Ms. Jackson’s earlier works but true storytelling at its finest.

Not interesting, and I wasn’t a fan of the religious views

Though the ending to her books are predictable, it is an interesting ride getting there. No detail left out. Finished the book in 3 days. It held my attention from beginning to end. Just purchased more books by Brenda Jackson.

I don't usually read romance novels but this one was great. It wasn't over done like others and it sheds light on love, forgiveness, and moving forward. I loved it!!!
