  • Bake Your Way to Love

This review is for Come Away with Me by Kait Nolan. I loved this short story of Moses and Zuri! The story starts in an amazing kitchen in Scotland, with such yummy pastries I wanted to travel to my local bakery! When he leaves to head back to the states, it takes a detour to the MisFit kitchen with familiar faces (including the young matchmaker Ari). It’s a wonderfully written story that easily ties into the world of the MisFit Inn and their extended ‘family’, HEA guaranteed! I received a free copy of this story via Bookfunnel and am voluntarily leaving a review.

*This is for Amelia Wilde’s story, Fate Steps In: This short story is a glimpse into Zeus, Hades & Poseidon family life. And if you’re anything like me, you’ll devour this as quick as I did. I can’t get enough of these brothers, the women who won their hearts, or the kids that changed them forever. I just completely loved this! *This is for Nina Levine’s story Marrying a Gala Girl: This was such a fun short story with Owen & Charlize, all the girls, and The Squad. The Squad (Mom & Mom-in-law) are driving Charlize a bit crazy with wedding plans, so in come the girls to the rescue. They help to keep her on an even keel, to make her laugh, and stand by her side. And Owen helps keep her sane and completely loved. Absolutely loved it! *This is for Regina Kyle’s story Dirty Trick: This was so much fun! Jake & Connor have Ainsley & Brie go on a scavenger hunt, but really, it’s just for Ainsley. Leading to an epic and romantic ending. Was so great being with these couples again!

This is a wonderful collection of anthropology stories by absolutely inspirational authors! There are numerous stories that will pull you in and keep you reading into the wee hours of the night! Each is great storylines and characters as you read their journeys into either the past or future to find happiness. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

What an amazing line up of incredible authors with incredible stories and everything for a wonderful cause. This review is for a couple of stories in this anthology. Marrying A Gala Girl by Nina Devine: I was so happy when Nina announced this story because is an addition to Owen and Charlize love's story (Owen North- book 5 in the Escape with the Billionaire series) and their preparation for their wedding. Six wonderful chapters were we get to see Charlize and all her craziness, her clan of best friends and their oh so fun conversations and Owen being his bossy self but also his caring and loveable side shows a million. I simply loved this addition which was so much fun to read. Love Like Crazy by Jenna Harley: This was such a delicious treat to read because I love this series by Jenna Hartley and this is a prequel to Asher's story and oh might I think Asher is going to become my favourite book boyfriend. And Isabella was just a character I immediately adore because of everything she represents, a strong woman who loves her adoptive kids and fights everyday to bring them a good life. I can't wait to read more of their story.
  • Romance Authors Unite

I can’t think of a better community than the romance community. The authors and readers have accomplished some incredible things over the years, and “Dissent” is just one more example of how everyone comes together for worthwhile causes. And what cause could be more important than women having bodily autonomy? I was lucky enough to get an early copy of one of the stories included in this fantastic anthology, “Dirty Tricks” by Regina Kyle. The short story gives a glimpse into the lives of the four lead characters from her books “Dirty Work” and “Dirty Secrets.” It was fun to catch up with Ainsley and Brie and their guys, Jake and Connor. The story is light and sweet and lets readers see how and much in love the couples are. It’s a little slice of joy added to the original books. I really enjoyed the story and highly recommend this awesome anthology.

Irresistible Chance by Lea Coll Dexter and Delilah first meet when he brings a puppy he found on the street, during a bad storm, to the clinic. She’s the new owner of the Annapolis Veterinary Clinic and Dexter is a police officer. As they’re talking, he learns that his partner once dating Delilah. Colton is now dating Delilah’s sister, Remi. Dexter and Delilah can’t ignore their amazing chemistry, but will they give into it or decide to just be friends? For This Moment by Elena Aitken This is a short read about Kat and Andy. Andy is Kat’s brother’s best friend, so he’s always considered her off-limits. Kat has crushed on Andy for years. When she attends a conference in Vancouver, where Andy attends school, will they give in to their fantasies? Last Call by Megan Ryder This is a second chance romance about Lacey and Zach. These characters have some amazing chemistry, but will Zach break Lacey’s heart and get his Uncle Andy to sell The Salty Dog, the bar she wants to buy? Great story where family isn’t just those related to you. I enjoyed these three stories and I hope to read more about them in future books. I can’t wait to read more of the books in this collection, when the book goes live. I received advance reader copies of these three stories and this is my voluntary and honest review.
  • For This Moment by Elena Aitken

I am excited to continue to read more stories in this book. “For This Moment” by Elena Aitken is such a compelling story. Kat Carlson, is away from home at a stylists conference and her brother asks his friend Andy to look after her. Kat has a huge crush on Andy since she they were both kids. On her last night in town, Andy invites her to his place for dinner. But will there be more? How does Andy see her? Does he have feelings for her? Only reading this great story will tell. I do need a sequel!

here are so many fantastic authors in this collection. Some have written many of my favorite books and are auto-buys for me, while others are new to me, which is exciting. I've read a few already but have many more enjoyable hours of reading to go. Come Away with Me by Kait Nolan brings us back to the Misfit Inn series and features Moses, a former coworker friend of Athena and Zuri, the pastry chef he meets overseas while working around the world for a year. Their story is very sweet. For fans of Regina Kyle, you'll get a little update into the lives of Ainsley, Jake, Brie and Connor from both Dirty Work and Dirty Secrets. We catch up with the quartet as one couple celebrates a very special event in Dirty Trick. Lili Valente gives us the hilariously named My Best Friend's Squirrel, probably the best title I've seen in a long time! What happens when two best friends find that their feelings for each other have changed, while on a hike in the woods. Simple Smile is a short story set in the Killer Assassins series by Tawna Fenske. While fans of the series will love revisiting Jan, Teo, Nic and their other halves, you don't need to read the other books to enjoy this one. But please go check them out...they are great. This story, of those I've read, has the most direct link to what the anthology as a whole is promoting and raising money for...reproductive rights and bodily autonomy for women that the Supreme (gag) Court has taken away in overturning Roe. Fenske did not shy away from talking about issues front and center in the world literally today. I'll try to come back and leave some more reviews as I read more stories, but I doubt I'll be able to do all 150+. I'll be buying this collection for each of my daughters, even though they are not romance readers. But as 20-somethings, this fight affects their lives and futures. It's a great set and a worthwhile and important cause.

One Wild Night by Erica Alexander One perfect Wild Night with heat and emotions leading to a beautiful relationship and a HEA. Jayden and Callie are so cute and perfect together. This is a short story with all you need to fall in love with then in minutes. One Woman’s Ex Is Another Woman’s Orgasm by Roxie Noir Wow! The title lets you know this is going to be h0t, and it’s indeed so h0t. It’s a great short story with emotions, love and friendship too. Ash and Bridget really had chemistry.
