For David Goggins, childhood was a nightmare - poverty, prejudice, and physical abuse colored his days and haunted his nights. But through self-discipline, mental toughness, and hard work, Goggins transformed himself from a depressed, overweight young man with no future into a U.S. Armed Forces icon and one of the world's top endurance athletes. The only man in history to complete elite training as a Navy SEAL, Army Ranger, and Air Force Tactical Air Controller, he went on to set records in numerous endurance events, inspiring Outside magazine to name him The Fittest (Real) Man in America.

In Can't Hurt Me, he shares his astonishing life story and reveals that most of us tap into only 40% of our capabilities. Goggins calls this The 40% Rule, and his story illuminates a path that anyone can follow to push past pain, demolish fear, and reach their full potential.

I read this book in five days, and I’m not a reader. This speaks to the entertainment aspect. It grips you from the beginning and does not let you go. I was sad when I finished the book. I started making changes he describes immediately and two weeks later, can happily say that I’ve lost ten pounds and was offered a new position making substantially more money…all because I read this book. It should be a requirement that everyone must read it. PLEASE do yourself a favor and READ THIS BOOK! It will change your life.

I highly recommend this book to anyone that has ever felt unmotivated, lack discipline, and have seen more darker times than light. The author has literally gone through it all and illustrates how to become your best self from his perspective. This book truly makes me feel like my dreams are attainable and that I can do anything I put my mind to as long as I am willing to callous my mind and put in the required efforts. Once again, great read!!!

I got this book a while back because I have watched David Goggins videos online and I just have to say, this man has completely changed the way I see life. I use to live day to day not taking action for myself, working a job I hate, eating junk food and being on my phone all day. After reading this book, everything has changed for me. I go to the gym everyday and I love going for early morning runs because of this book. I got a new job and I feel so much happier with my life because of this book and David’s story. This is truly a book I recommend to anyone who is going through a though time in their life and know wants to make a change. Best book ever.
